Hope Ladder (Dave Cook)

Tuesday, January 1st, 2008

Dave Cook - Hope LadderHopeladders Dave Cook is blessed, idolized, and cursed with an undeniably large vocabulary. Somewhere between The Decemberists and Beck lies the life and times of HopeLadder, Dave Cook, and hyperliterate lyrical magnificence. Somewhere interspersed between folk and POP and Americana, Dave Cook scales the ladder of life’s literate roller coaster. The spins and stories of a life lived in the best of times and the worst of times. The stories told of then and now and maybe never was or maybe never will be. Dave Cook is a story teller with a dense and complicated lyrical prowess. His crafty stories intertwined and spun into a tapestry of how hope emulates despair and despair tantalizes hope. Wound with a blend of dark and light, and light to dark, dawns the reality that have become one and the same with peace and pain. With a melodic knack and piercing melodies, you feel the scars born of what could have been and what was once great,, even more than great,, the truly brilliant. Where inspiration comes from many fields, HopeLadders lyrical genious derives the battleground of life and the hope for the valiant. No matter how dark the words and melodies pierce, there is hope and there is HopeLadder. And if life reflects his lyrics, where you think you are going, may not be where you are destined. Only a life well lived could have created the treasure trove of HopeLadder. HopeLadders Dave Cook is an absolute lyrical master with a slathering of melodic genius. Enjoy,,,,,
